Precision Thermometer - Mercury Free
The glass used has a diameter of about 6-7 mm.
The special line of safe thermometers is known as
a non toxic filling liquid.
In case of breakage the residue after decomposition
becomes: H2O + CO2. When the thermometer is calibrated
for partial immersion (76mm usually), there is a line printed
around the thermometer at 76mm with a clear
mention: “Imm. 76mm”.
